Located in The Shoals area of northwest Alabama (Florence, Muscle Shoals, Sheffield and Tuscumbia), the Tennessee River creates a lake system that offers some of the best inland recreation available. The waters are known primarily for excellent fishing and part of the "loop", but the true secret lies in the historical music this river has played over the years. This particular area of the river varies in width up to a couple of miles and and collectively spreads over 100 miles long through Wilson and Wheeler dams. Flournoy Yacht Charters offers a unique opportunity for you to customize your cruise experience to include sailing, locking through, and seeing the historical areas of the river. Our base of operations is conveniently located on Wilson Lake between the Shoals Marriott and the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail.
Bluewater Cruising -
Virgin Island sailing is world renowned for its consistent weather, beautiful water, and secluded anchorages. Collectively, the Virgin Islands consist of the US, British and Spanish Virgin Islands. These include the major islands of St. Thomas, St. John, St. Croix, Tortola, Virgin Gorda, Culebra and Vieques as well as the surrounding islands. Typical cruises are either seven or ten days in duration, but cruises of other lengths are just as available.
The Alabama and Florida gulf coast regions are loaded with twon and inlets tat just ask to be visited and explored. Extending that exploration down to the Keys and out to the Dry Tortogas is even better.
